Becoming better.
Have you been feeling a little unsettled and out of sorts recently? According to the World Health Organization (WHO), since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, anxiety and depression prevalence has increased by an alarming 25% globally. The pandemic disturbed our core belief, that we are safe in our communities, cities, countries, or even the world and I am noticing an increase in clients struggling with everyday life in a way that wasn't affected pre pandemic.

Counselling is not just for those working through severe disorders. Counselling can benefit everyone, helping to explore negative thought patterns and behaviours to work towards a greater sense of overall wellbeing and a balanced life.

Counselling is not a quick fix, it is a process of self development that equips you with powerful tools and techniques to help you navigate life with a more positive mindset.
About
Siân Oram, MSc Addiction Psychology & Counselling
As a professional accredited member of Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners I specialise in working towards recovery from compulsive addictive behaviours and substance abuse.

I work with families and partners affected by addiction, abuse, neglect and abandonment and other dysfunctions.

Since 2014, I have worked with private clients, as well as counselling individuals with charities, such as Catalyst, and facilitating SMART recovery groups.
I am DBS certified by the Government to work with vulnerable adults and the Ministry of Her Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service for my voluntary work in prison, supporting substance abusers to work towards recovery from trauma and addiction.

Although my specialty is in addiction, I have also worked with many clients to help them navigate through life changes, stress, bereavement, low self esteem, depression, anxiety and phobias amongst other worries.
